Whether you are a mom, have a mom, or both, how was your Mother’s Day weekend?

Crazy Glue and I had fun hosting a family cookout. He worked the grill, which made for some delicious burgers and corn on the cob. The best part was simply being together, which is a deliberate effort given our schedules. Bet you can relate.

You know I’m all about increasing women’s sanity, confidence and fun. Since many women are moms, this month on the Girlfriend We Gotta Talk radio show that I co-host with Susie Galvez each Sunday, we’re focused on increasing MOM’S sanity, confidence and fun.

I wanted to let you know because if you’re not on our e-mail list, you’re not hearing about all our great guests each week. You’re not getting the Mother Load!

For example, you didn’t hear about Amy Nobile, co-author of “I Was a Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids.” Every mom with younger kids will appreciate her honesty and humor.

Exciting news!

“Girlfriend We Gotta Talk!” is getting out of the radio studio and into the TV studio this morning!

Susie Glavez, my co-host, and I  will be appearing on the “Virginia This Morning” show on CBS affiliate WTVR Channel 6 here in Richmond, VA.  They want us to share our “Top 10 Ways to Increase Your Sanity, Confidence, and Fun.”  They have NO IDEA what antics we’re planning, props and all!

Want to watch live?  If you’re in Richmond, tune your TV dial to Channel 6 starting at 9 am.  We’ll be interviewed by 10 am but they won’t tell us the exact time because it might change at last minute.

Susie Galvez and I get hundreds of requests from people to be on our radio show “Girlfriend We Gotta Talk!”  This isn’t bragging, it’s a fact.  Recently even Kathy Ireland asked to be on our show!  No kidding.  We were complimented, amazed, and not stupid - - we made room her in our July show schedule!

To celebrate our first anniversary on-air, we're hosting a Girlfriend Stories Contest in search of 3 fabulous girlfriend stories.  The 3 winners will be on our July 5th show! 

On the show you’ll get to share your story live and, of course, we’ll want to brag on you for being such a great friend.  (And don’t worry about being available over the July 4th holiday weekend in the U.S.  We’re going to pre-record the show by phone.)

So, right now, tell us your fabulous story - past or present - of how your girlfriends have helped to increase the sanity, confidence, or fun in your life. 

I bet you can think of a time when a girlfriend really helped you out.  A story that starts with “If it weren’t for her…”  That’s the story we would love to hear - and share with so many other women.
